Another option mentioned at a recent roundtable during the Gatlinburg Regional was Nextdoor.
Nextdoor is a website that specializes in sharing hyper-local information. It’s a social network just for your neighborhood. Neighbors use it to connect for a variety of reasons, and one teacher, Joyce Stone, has capitalized on the website to promote bridge lessons.
There are more than 136,000 neighborhoods using Nextdoor. To find yours, go to the website and enter your address. Before you sign up you will see examples of discussions happening in your neighborhood network. After you log in, you’ll be able to post to the neighborhood wall.
