You’ve taught us a lot in the last year. Your comments, emails, product reviews and feedback have shaped the materials and advice we provide on the Resource Center and in Tricks of the Trade. But we want to grow even more, to build a stronger community.
Beginning in January, a discussion forum feature will be added to the Resource Center. With participation from you, the forum will be a way to connect with your peers, share best practices and receive/offer constructive feedback to encourage growth in your respective roles.
From the forum’s main page, you will be able to choose from forum topics populated by the ACBL. To start, we’ll have three main topics – Clubs, Teachers, Volunteers. Each of the forums will contain conversations (sometimes called “threads”) started by both you and the ACBL.
Want to increase attendance at your night game? Start a conversation in the Clubs forum and learn what worked for your peers.
Looking for ways to better serve your unit’s club community? Ask other unit and district officials for their input in the Volunteer forum.
Want to grow the game by teaching youth? Get advice directly from other teachers who have succeeded in helping develop the next generation of bridge players.
From California to Bermuda, up to Prince Edward Island and everywhere in between, now you have a way to engage with other movers and shakers like yourself. By sharing our successes and our challenges we can affect growth, not only in ourselves and each other, but in the game of bridge.
